“WHAT CAN I POSSIBLY DO?”

  • You do not need power.

  • You do not need money.

  • You do not need to be Iranian.

  • You only need consistency and courage.

When people hear the cries of Iranians facing executions, mass arrests, internet and phones blackouts, and state terror, the most honest question is:

“What can I possibly do?”

Here is the answer.

1. REFUSE SILENCE

  • Silence protects oppressors, not victims.

  • Say publicly—once a week is enough:

  • “I see you. I hear you. I do not accept this.”

  • Visibility saves lives.

2. USE YOUR VOICE WHERE IT COUNTS

Do one simple thing regularly:

  • Comment on major media posts about Iran

  • Reply respectfully to politicians’ posts

  • Share verified Iranian voices

  • You don’t need to go viral.

  • You need to be present.

3. PRESSURE YOUR REPRESENTATIVES

Call or email:

  • Your MP / Congressperson

  • Your Foreign Ministry

Say simply:

“I am a constituent. I expect public condemnation of executions and internet send phones blackouts in Iran, and a clear distinction between the regime and the people.” Officials count calls. Not feelings.

4. AMPLIFY IRANIAN VOICES

Follow and share:

  • Iranian journalists

  • Activists, artists, athletes, families of victims

  • Let Iranians speak for themselves.

5. CHALLENGE PROPAGANDA—POLITELY

Words matter:

  • Say “the regime in Iran”, not “Iran”

  • Write polite complaints to media that sanitize crimes

  • Legitimacy is oxygen. Do not provide it.

6. BOYCOTT REGIME NORMALIZATION

Do not support:

  • Cultural laundering

  • Sportswashing

  • “Reform” illusions

  • Neutrality favors the executioner.

7. DONATE IF YOU CAN—SMARTLY

  • Even small amounts help:

  • Digital security (VPNs)

  • Legal aid

  • Medical and trauma care

  • Support people, not politics.

8. TEACH ONE PERSON

Explain to one friend:

  • This is about human dignity—not geopolitics

  • Iranians oppose the regime overwhelmingly

  • One informed person becomes many.

9. DO NOT WAIT FOR PERMISSION

History never asks:

“Did you feel comfortable?”

It asks:

“Did you act when it mattered?”

REMEMBER

  • As Iranian people we are risking our lives.

  • The free world is only asked to risk comfort.

  • That is something every ordinary citizen in the world can do.

  • And it is enough.
